JAM Bootlegs

Wicked session! Tried out some new acoustic guitar sounds and there were nice folks all around. Good to see. The night before rained out ,so I had my doubts. I’m leaving town in a few days, so trying to get in as much haze as I can.

Very interesting night. Thunderstorms the entire time (no rain!), so it was as if I had my very own light show. No…, no new interesting folks but very good jams and after all, that’s really what it’s about. The drummer I met the day before reached out, so he was genuine. Unlike the other person, who followed me online and the first thing I see is a video “if you like me and think you want to date me, leave me alone”. Ouch. Guess what? I don’t and how ridiculously presumptuous of you. Just simply disappointing. If only I could un-see/feel.

New setup since being “icky’d” under my usual tree-spot. This worked out well despite another relatively sleepy hood. Highlights were meeting a drummer called NUT and a seemingly nice woman (and singer) named Kelley. I was inspired to improv a corny jam called “Kelley” around 1:27:00, which ended my session.

Very sleepy neighborhood today. People trying to beat the heat, I suppose. Not much money to be made but I did manage to have some JAM fun.

Upon discovering some strange, white bugs (mites?) of some kind, infesting the tree, I just could not bring myself to sit at my normal “Happy Place” spot. I had this feeling they were (or would be) crawling all over me. So, instead I went to the Square and there was no money to be made there. Lucky for me, I made some new connections that may prove to be more valuable than any small change 🙂
Time will tell…

Despite being a VERY sleepy Labor Day Monday, I seemed to have pulled a bunch of folks out of the woodwork. Highlight was meeting Olga and Henk, from Russia and Holland.

Saturday blast! Big shout-out to Craig. Bassist extraordinaire! A tad too extraordinary for my simple schtick lol! He appears the last half hour or so. And cheers to his lovely, euro-lady Maria. Also, special guest appearances by Zowie and Henrietta (you had to be there…). All in all, a very cool and unique session all around. Give it a listen…

Wacky night. Higlights; session starts with a fight with a couple of ridiculously stereotypical queer boys, in which I learned that I am a clown and a bitch. Enough of those losers – – another great highlight “HI-Q”. A robot drummer sat in for most of the session, dominating my improv thoughts and we will definitely be doing it again!

Back after an accident and being laid up for over a week. Damn ankles lol! Had a great session and people were feeling good and quite generous. Right on! My brain was crackin’ and lots of poignant words flowing from…who knows exactly where. But as often does, all made some good sense and cents.

Very interesting night and dynamic. Strange occurrence with first responders, which was never explained to the public. And there’s even a special guest appearance toward the end of session, 1:45:00-ish. Some ‘famous’ guy I don’t know.

Good times! It wanted to rain all night but thankfully never came. Met some groovy folks and got some big love back. Big shout out to a super cutey, Emma! Cheers…

Nothing too far out or whacky happened this evening. Created some new grooves as always and smiley, happy, people were all about!

Wonderful evening. Little more gabbin’ than playing it seemed. Shout-out to neighbor Drew for stopping by with some pre-roll action and the lovely local who looked terrific wearing no fashion sense.

Today I did a double. Tried my luck at the Baltimore Harbor and then scooted on over to Fells Point, my ‘happy place’. 🙂 But today it was not so happy. New cops. That means new hassles until they understand the flow of our hood and who the heck Jonny Allan is. In the end, officer Armwood (another Larry, btw LOL!) was a champ! I only left because my mood was shot at that point, however.

Great night, lots of love. I guess highlights might be the requests made later in the session. Namely, Taylor Swift (whom I can’t stand lol!) and then my lame-ass Beatles and Pearl Jam interpretations.

Lots of fun tonight. The session ended with a surprise visit from Yoga Christy and a couple of her friends, namely a guy named JOE and that’s all you need to know lol!

It rained so I managed to get a short session in after it dried up some. Turned out to be a dang good time.

Nice session and good vibes. I came across a cool Kate Bush vibe in the first 30 minutes. Gonna have to remember that one for sure.

Was a interesting session to say the least. Particularly when Officer Larry showed to hassle me AGAIN. Well, this time all ended well-ish and we’re on fine terms…until the next cop haha!

A start of a new month with some new jams from JAM 🙂

Tried a new-ish spot today along the harbor. I’d scoped it out before but never put any time in there. Very different vibe and energy. A little less friendly and generous feeling at first but things warmed up after 30 minutes or so. I’ll certainly return on occasion.

Groovy session with loads of fresh riffs to jam on and a couple of my usual go-to’s.

All can say is SMELL THE FLOWERS lol! Also, big shout-out to Garry “with two R’s” for getting the applause sign haha! Also an entertaining passerby at 1:34:25 or so, goin on about “going down south”. Let’s go!

Very interesting session and as usual 95% improv and on to the next moments in time, so I don’t recall anything weird that happened this day. Shout-out to Christy for stopping by for a listen/chat.

Very cool Session which is dedicated to my mother on her 80th birthday! I also got to try the shiny, new and rather HUGE tip jar a street friend made for me. The session was also marked by an encounter with the kid who tried to steal my scooter the night before.

Another night that should have rained turned AMAZEBALLS! Big shout-outs to Barrett, Italian Tony (yup, real name), Amber (for staying up all night), Christy and those magic hands and the mystery dream girl who’s African American-y name, I can’t pronounce. Everybody knows I’m really here every day hoping to meet my dream-person. So far, meh….

In this business, you get used to seeing a lot of people’s backsides LOL! So long as they are groovin’, all good! This day goes down as the worst money maker of all time! Was still fun but that won’t pay my bills.

Flower Power returns for a couple hours whenever I’m doing my thang. Don’t miss the farmers market (earlier).

The night was going alone just wonderfully when all of a sudden comes Tanya. What’s better than wonderful? Well, that’s what it was!

It wanted to rain but didn’t. It should have because it was a ghost town for the most part. Highlight for me…the Bill Whithers request and I slayed…

Wicked Tuesday night vibes! Great weather and good souls all around and almost made rent. My highlights were meeting a cool dude named Rich and the beer tip topped only by a real, heartfelt hug from a mystery beauty! Cheers!

Yeah! We beat the rain AGAIN and had a fun session. Met some interesting peeps as well. Shout out to Ricquel (still goofy spelling LOL!)

Great Sunday session and the weather was definitely on our side!

Arrgghh. Another nice night but WINDY (slow night) again. Was still a lot of fun but hey, I’m not here just for a good time lol! Maybe it’s too hot to hang for the out-of-towners?

Though a WINDY slow night, relatively speaking, the vibe got got and nuts got made. 🙂

Also, a nice, buzzed stranger lended his voice to a groovy, live-sesh which kicks off around 1 hr 16 mins or so. AND… I love the JAM at 1 hr 38 mins, “Waiting Here”, it could be called LOL! It’s cool though. Kinda ‘Cure-y’.

I returned to the streets after a week off. Non-voluntary of course. Started with the one cop that gives anybody an issue (dozens of others could care less), so I didn’t return a couple days because of that. Following that it rained three or four days so that, was that.

Memorable about this session was the $100 Franklin from a super nice and groovy dude named Mike. At the time I had no idea how much he had given me. I assume, perhaps 20. I put it in my pocket and we talked. Later, I discovered the biggest single tip I’ve EVER gotten busking on the street. History made. Thanks Mike!
