For Elena
A letter, a poem, and a quiet invitation
Elena,
Your words cut through the noise like a quiet flame. If they were meant to stir something in me… they did. But before I say more, I’ve got to be real— because honesty is the only currency I’ve got left when it comes to love. I’ve been on this platform long enough to feel what it does. It wears you down. Makes you cautious. Distrustful. Even when someone like you says something beautiful, part of me still wonders… is it even real? That’s the damage these spaces do. And yet, here I am. Still showing up. Because somewhere deep down, I still believe in love. Not just romance—but something real. Something that can be built. That’s the word. I’m not here for entertainment. I’m here to build something. That belief—that someone out there sees me not just as a man, but as a soul who needs his muse—is what keeps me going. Because I’m an artist, Elena. I write. I sing. I create. But none of it means a damn thing without someone beside me who sees what I see… who stirs the words before they even form. That’s who I’m looking for. Maybe that’s you. Maybe not. But if any part of you feels like this isn’t just a passing line in a feed, then let me be clear: My name is Kamary Phillips. You can Google me—really. Music. Books. Films. Interviews. I’m not hiding. I’m not a ghost. I’m not a fantasy. I’m a real man trying to love again. But I can’t do it here—not in a space full of filters and noise. So if anything I’ve said moved you— if this feels like more than just two strangers trading lines online— then come find me. Find me where the real stories are told. I’ll be there, waiting. Right now, I’m in the States—Carolina Beach. I spent over 26 years in Europe. Truth is, I still feel more at home there. But my parents need me now. So I came back. Not because I gave up on what I’d built overseas— but because showing up for the people who raised me matters. I know that might be a dealbreaker. Maybe the distance, maybe the reality of caring for family. But for me, it’s part of the journey. Part of the man I am today. And yeah—I still believe in love. Not fairy tale nonsense. Not surface-level swiping. But love that builds. I live off emotion. Off energy. Off the kind of woman who can set fire to my imagination. I don’t need rescuing. I need ignition. So if I seem guarded here, it’s not because I don’t care. It’s because I’ve been burned. Too many fakes. Too many masks. Now? I just don’t trust easily. But here’s who I am. No alias. No game. Kamary Phillips. Google me. You’ll find the art, the truth, the man. I’m not impossible to find. I just don’t believe real connection lives behind login screens. So if this resonates—if you want to speak as Elena and Kam, not usernames in a digital void— then reach out. You’ll know where to find me. —Jonny (Kam)
🎙️ Poem for Elena – “More Than Strong”
You’ve worn your strength like woven thread, Through every tear you never shed. You built a world that wouldn’t fall— A one-woman army, standing tall. You’ve been the home you had to find, A shelter shaped by heart and mind. And though you learned to face the fight, You still crave warmth. You still want light. Not one to beg, not one to break, You give, and give, for your own sake. But even fire longs to rest— To lean against a quiet chest. You’re not a tale that needs rewrote. You’re not some damsel in a boat. You’re not the storm, you’re not the flame— You’re both, and more, and not to tame. You want a love that dares to stay, That listens when there’s naught to say. A man who sees you—soft and wild— Not just the warrior, but the child. So here I stand, no games to play. No mask, no bait, no words to sway. Just one soul whispering through the noise: “I don’t want perfect. I want choice.” And if you feel that echo too, Then maybe fate has plans for two. But if you drift, or fade, or roam— At least you’ll know… You stirred a poem.
